A Snapshot of Your Day

This position involves assembling steam turbines according to blueprints and engineering specifications. The assembler will be responsible for installing and wiring electrical components, aligning, and installing mechanical components, and rigging, lifting, and moving heavy equipment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly processes and procedures for steam turbines.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure consistent and reliable performance of steam turbines.
  • Performing steam turbine tests. The position may involve collaborating with other departments, fixing electrical and mechanical issues, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Balance roto, assemble small components and turbine wheels.
  • Capability to fix and diagnose issues with electrical components and systems.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an assembly mechanic in a production shop environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
