A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of trades and technicians to keep machines and process equipment running at peak performance. Your day will include coordinating repairs, planning resources for routine and emergency maintenance, and driving preventative programs. You’ll also mentor your team, manage schedules, and foster a strong safety culture while ensuring smooth communication across shifts. From handling urgent issues to preparing for plant shutdowns, you’ll play a critical role in keeping operations efficient and reliable.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure adherence to guidelines, processes, and performance standards while overseeing and validating maintenance procedures.
  • Plan and allocate resources for routine maintenance, work order repairs, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage team operations including work assignments, skill development, time and attendance, mentoring, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and meet or exceed campus safety metrics.
  • Coordinate personnel training to support maintenance needs, progression paths, and technology-driven skill upgrades.
  • Control costs by reviewing consumable spending and managing overtime to meet customer needs within budget.
  • Communicate effective shift turnovers and maintain clear updates with the plant production management team.
  • Monitor and track employee performance, production output, and ensure daily/weekly targets are met.
  • Lead teams during scheduled plant shutdowns, attend supervisor meetings, and maintain personal training compliance.
  • Provide on-call support and alternate weekend coverage, responding to emergencies and shutdowns as required.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with a diploma.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in maintenance or operator-based maintenance roles.
  • Supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing or maintenance (3+ years), with proven mentoring and motivational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, permits, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Experience managing outside vendors and contractors, maintaining accurate records for progression and qualification tracking.
  • Familiarity with computer maintenance management systems and supervising multi-discipline workforces.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team meetings and deliver presentations is a plus.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
