A Snapshot of Your Day
The Kit Box Parts Advisor is responsible for managing the Client facing support during the quoting, project execution and overall program management phases. This role directly impacts Client efficiency in parts management and maintenance operations. Every day will be different and will regularly include travel to client sites, manufacturing facilities and product conferences. Technical understanding of SEI (Siemens Energy Inc.) equipment will be a key factor to success in this role and necessary to adequately support our clients.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Facilitate all scope of work definition and quoting such as parts list, box layout support, inspection requirements, etc. which could include visits to client sites and locations performing machinery/inventory reviews.
- Proactively sell kit boxes based on specific needs (outage support, inventory management, reliability improvement).
- Attend trade shows and technical conferences to raise customer awareness of the Kit Box program and offerings.
- Advise clients about the benefits of keeping properly designed Kit Boxes onsite for their fleet.
- Provide clients with basic product and technical support and inform clients about parts life cycle time, material characteristics, and manufacturing processes.
- Assist clients (in coordination with the regional client and account manager) with the covered fleet regarding performance, improvements, outage planning, and parts management and provide fleet-specific know-how and marketing expertise tailored to the client's specific needs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a factory or technical environment. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
- Previous factory environment experience. Familiar with compression product line. Previous experience with field service and rotating equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills, organized, team player (Bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Self-motivation to find efficient and effective ways to accomplish end goals. Creative problem solving
- Ability to multitask and work under time constraints to meet deadline. Comfortable changing environments.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as the need arises. A minimum of 50% is expected.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
