About the Role

Step into a position where your technical skills help power the future. In this role, you’ll work alongside a diverse team to engineer and implement advanced substation automation solutions. Your day will be filled with hands-on problem solving, transforming customer needs into effective system designs and ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. You’ll play a key part in delivering reliable energy solutions that support global sustainability goals. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of control system specifications for substation automation initiatives, ensuring project requirements are met.
- Create and refine conceptual diagrams for substation control systems, integrating communications interfaces such as RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
- Architect network layouts and select optimal components to build robust substation automation solutions.
- Develop and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs within your area of expertise.
- Produce detailed, project-specific documentation—including functional design specs, testing protocols, and signal lists—to support successful project delivery.
- Explore and research innovative technical approaches within the testing environment to drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- A completed degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a closely related discipline.
- Motivation to launch your professional journey; while prior experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement.
- Solid grounding in power system fundamentals, covering transmission, distribution, and protection methodologies.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to learn, working closely with protection engineers, SCADA specialists, and utility operators.
- Strong command of English (required); proficiency in German is a plus.
