A Snapshot of Your Day
How You’ll Make an Impact
What You Bring
Who is Siemens Energy?
Join a collaborative, driven team safeguarding Siemens Energy’s Snowflake data platform. You lead identity and access management using SCIM, set decisive authorization practices (OAuth, key pair, SSO), and keep privileged access tight and transparent. You champion encryption with an HSM backed key hierarchy and Tri Secret Secure across AWS, Azure, or GCP while guiding secure APIs, integrations, and third party connectors. You investigate incidents with care and rigor, keep controls audit ready for GDPR and internal standards, and partner with IT, Compliance, Business, and SOC teams to improve continuously. Every day, you balance analytical problem solving with compassionate partnership to keep data secure, compliant, and ready for the business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Lead identity and access management: design and implement Snowflake SCIM; define OAuth, key pair, and SSO practices; and approve/attest privileged entitlements.
• Protect data end to end: enforce encryption with a cloud provider HSM backed root of trust and key hierarchy; apply Tri Secret Secure; and harden APIs, integrations, and third party connectors.
• Drive vulnerability and incident response: monitor Snowflake, coordinate remediation, perform root cause analysis, and keep playbooks current with clear escalation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance and audit readiness: align Snowflake with GDPR and internal standards, provide evidence of controls, track remediation, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Monitor and improve: generate access reviews, audit logs, and incident summaries; and collaborate with SOC/security monitoring to enhance detection and response.
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years in IT security, with at least 3 years focused on Snowflake security administration or engineering.
• Direct experience configuring and managing snowflake security settings, roles, and access controls.
• Involvement in snowflake security incident investigation and remediation.
• Experience supporting snowflake implementation, new feature enablement from a security perspective.
• In-depth knowledge of snowflake’s security architecture, including user roles, IAM, and encryption mechanisms.
• Experience with snowflake Security Operations (SecOps) and platform security modules
• Understanding of secure configuration, data protection, and encryption within snowflake.
• Familiarity with scripting (python) for automating security tasks in snowflake.
• Experience with security monitoring, logging, and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of API security and secure integration practices is good to know.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GDPR) and security frameworks (ISO 27001).
• Experience supporting audits and implementing remediation plans.
About the Team
The team partners closely with IT, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to align Snowflake security with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with SOC and security monitoring groups supports continuous improvement in detection, response, and reporting. The group’s scope spans identity and access management, data protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and audit support. You will contribute to documentation, playbooks, and secure adoption across development, customization, and integration initiatives. Together, the team maintains a proactive, detail oriented, and integrity driven culture
