A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished function leader to join our team as the Total Quality Management (TQM) Manager in Grid Technologies Switchgears.

The role drives quality excellence across a global footprint by ensuring consistent product standards, robust processes, reliable delivery, and high customer satisfaction. Through close engagement with operations, it stays connected to critical issues and improvement opportunities while leading initiatives that boost First Pass Yield, reduce Non‑Conformance Costs, stabilize processes, and strengthen on‑Time Delivery. The position focuses on defect prevention, enhanced controls, and resolving recurring problems to increase reliability, delivery consistency, and process capability, ultimately elevating factories to top‑tier quality performance. Success in this role comes from working within a collaborative EQS community that values proactive leadership, cross‑site alignment, and open sharing of insights and best practices, enabling rapid scaling of quality breakthroughs and strong integration with EHS and Continuous Improvement teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Building a customer‑focused quality culture, ensuring feedback drives product, delivery, and service improvements across factories.
  • Directing the Total Quality Approach, defining goals, governance, dashboards, and overseeing FPY, NCC, OTD, capability, and customer‑satisfaction systems.
  • Enhancing global process controls, leading implementation of control plans, FMEAs, MSA, SPC, audits, and corrective actions to reduce defects.
  • Partnering across Operations, Engineering, EHS, and CI, aligning priorities to improve FPY, NCC, OTD, and process stability.
  • Promoting accountability and continuous improvement, enabling open discussion of risks, lessons learned, and customer impact.
  • Deploying standardized EQS processes and tools, harmonizing workflows, documentation, reporting, and training across all GT SG sites.

What You Bring

  • Technical education with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, quality engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive quality‑management experience with 7 or more years in TQM, manufacturing, or industrial environments, ideally within Siemens Energy or Grid Technologies. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Proven expertise in Total Quality and EQS deployment, including global training, coaching, and multisite capability building.
  • Strong improvement track record, delivering FPY, OTD, and NCC gains through structured methodologies and solid governance.
  • Advanced quality‑tool competence, including ISO 9001, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, audits, and structured problem solving (8D, A3, DMAIC).
  • Leadership and communication strength in English, enabling cross‑site influence, stakeholder alignment, training delivery, and effective collaboration in global teams. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
