A Snapshot of Your Day

The 'Department Manager Quality Management''s duties consist of leading the QA/QM organization at the operative level, advising the associated org.-units and providing support for business activities by providing regular reports, reviews and improvement recommendations regarding quality topics. He/She is authorized to stop processes in the associated org.-unit in the event of serious departures from quality standards.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Identifying customer's needs and aligning activities to the customer and his needs; processing feedback from customers and deriving responses; explaining the quality management system to external customers.
  • Lead and manage daily operational tasks of the team. Supervise and guide a team of 80+ people. Be responsible for organizational development.
  • Following defined communication processes and handling complaints and analyzing causes, defining corrective/ preventive actions.
  • Implementing an end-to-end quality management system; identifying and elaborating synergies with EHS issues to promote an integrated management system.
  • Advising and assisting the operative units in implementing the requirements from the quality management system.
  • Assisting in identifying business KPIs. Prioritizing and categorizing risks and improvement projects. Driving new product qualifications(PPQ) related actions.
  • Ensuring the performance and fulfillment of quality-assurance processes/activities (e.g. reviews, FMEA, Process audits) in the business processes; assisting activities in process management .
  • Leads projects in solving quality problems. Personally involved in processes and/or projects.
  • Planning and representing the organizational unit in second and third-party audits (e.g. certification audit); Planning and operation of internal audit program.
  • Identifying qualification needs; staging needs-based training events on processes, methods and tools; carrying out awareness-promoting activities. Providing expert guidance for Quality Engineers.
  • Supporting supplier management to enhance the quality of purchased products and services and reduce non-conformance costs. (Choosing, developing, qualification-testing, integrating and monitoring suppliers. Providing advice and assistance on solving quality problems.)


What You Bring  

  • At least 4 years professional leadership experience in manufacturing or Continuous Improvement
  • Professional experience in other scopes of responsibility in the context of project execution (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Leadership style/experience as team or subproject manager desirable
  • Experience in projects/processes with quality issues involving other countries and corporations (cultural aspects) desirable
  • Fluent English knowledge, German is advantage
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving methods (e.g. FMEA, RCA, 5Why, Six Sigma)
  • Methods for continuous improvement (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean)

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
