About the Role
Winston Technology Center's supports internal customers within the service operations, global supply chain to support the global fleet with high quality turbine components with right cost at right time. As head of Customer Business Function, you will lead the team of Order Management, Business Development and Strategy, Shipping and Inventory in collaborations with our operations business, technology applications team and plant management. Your leadership is vital to operational performance and supporting our sustainable growth at Winston.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will manage Existing Customer Relationships by:
- Managing existing customer relationships, order management and longer-term forecast on all current accounts.
- Developing processes to bring transparency in order management, improve forecast accuracy, align production resources and identify challenges in meeting customer future demands
- You will develop our plant strategy to improve production business by:
- Developing strategy for business continuity, sustainable growth and efficient plant operations.
- Coordinating with Operations and Plant Management, Finance Partners to align investment plans well aligned with strategy
- Developing new opportunities within our existing and/or new customers in alignment with strategy and close collaborations with our operations team.
- You will ensure Shipping on time and Efficient Inventory Management:
- Develop a robust logistics framework to ensure parts are shipped on time meeting/exceeding customer needs.
- Efficient tracking and Management of Raw Materials and Finished Goods Inventory in collaboration with Operations to support customers.
- Motivate and Inspire:
- You will mentor and support your team to build skills and foster a positive work environment.
What You Bring
- 10 or more years’ work experience in order management, customer relationship management, sales and business development in manufacturing or similar business with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or equivalent years of experience is required. MBA or related business experience is preferred.
- A solid understanding of turbine component manufacturing, machining, drilling, coating, welding, assembly processes, and rotating equipment technology.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of technical professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Strong communication skills to empower your team and build customer confidence, along with a grasp of business financials and continuous improvement methodologies.
- This position may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position

About Winston Technology Center
Winston Technology Center in Rural Hall, North Carolina, is a modern, 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 249 acres campus employing approximately 400 staff. We Specialize in the production and repair of turbine components for the 60Hz energy market, the center supports large gas and steam turbines within the Gas Services Division. This division delivers low-emission power solutions, including decarbonization and fleet modernization services, with all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators managed on-site for Siemens Energy.
