How You Will Make an Impact
- Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices to ensure a flawless and safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures.
- Ensure employees align with workplace safety standards and regulations to maintain a world-class safety record.
- Stop any operations if the health, safety, or environmental risks are determined to be unacceptable.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is used, maintained, and replaced as necessary to uphold outstanding safety standards.
- Aid in incident/accident investigation and reporting, ensuring detailed analysis and effective solutions.
- Make sure all employees at the site participate in the company's mandatory safety orientation programs, encouraging a safety-conscious culture from the beginning.
- Climb scaffolds and enter confined spaces on job sites as required to ensure comprehensive safety oversight.
- Develop safety awareness and promote it throughout the project using posters, safety meetings, and other educational services.
- Communicate Toolbox Talks with all employees in accordance with employee noncompliance and/or pre-job safety briefings.
- Participate in and assist in coordinating emergency drills and simulations to ensure readiness and effective response.
- Research, study, and maintain proficiency with applicable HSE policies, standards, laws, and regulations to stay ahead in safety management.
- Maintain all HSE-related documents following HSE department procedures and requirements for flawless record-keeping.
- Propose initiatives to improve HSE performance and reduce risks, driving continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Exercise independent action and moderate decision-making within specific safety requirements, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
What You Bring
- 2-5 years of experience in an energy industrial environment with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) to ensure compliance and safety excellence.
- Relevant HSE Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred, showcasing a dedication to professional growth.
- Excellent communication and social skills are vital for effective collaboration and safety advocacy.
- Ability and willingness to flex work hours to support site needs, including night and weekend hours, ensuring continuous safety oversight.
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary and international teams, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent command of the English language for clear and effective communication.
