About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join the Development Denmark team in a role created to support its extended responsibilities around grid measurement validation and supplier evaluation for wind park control applications. Imagine starting your day testing Elspec G4K/G4N grid meters in a lab environment, then shifting into focused data analysis that turns raw measurements into trusted engineering insights. You work hands‑on with measurement hardware, write practical Python or MATLAB code, and validate performance that directly informs supplier qualification decisions. Each test you run and every dataset you analyze helps ensure reliable, accurate grid measurement systems used within wind park control and power plant environments.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform technical analysis and validation of grid measurement devices used in wind park control applications, with a primary focus on Elspec G4K/G4N models.
- Design and execute test plans to evaluate and qualify alternative grid meter suppliers against defined technical specifications and performance benchmarks.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose grid measurement hardware and associated data acquisition systems in a controlled lab environment, including 3‑phase validation using Omicron signal generators.
- Develop and maintain Python or MATLAB scripts for automated testing, data acquisition, and performance evaluation of measurement devices.
- Analyze measurement data, interface with SCADA systems and SQL databases, and create clear reports and visualizations to support engineering decisions for wind park control systems.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Professional engineering experience in power systems, measurement technology, software development, or related engineering domains.
- Hands‑on experience with electrical measurement hardware, data acquisition systems, and structured troubleshooting.
- Practical programming experience in Python and/or MATLAB, combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working independently on technical tasks with general supervision, aligned with an Experienced Professional level.
- Preferably other programming skills, e.g. C# and/or C++ and an agile programming/development mindset
About the Team
You will join the Development Denmark team, where engineers work closely together on validating grid measurement systems used in wind park control and power plant environments. The team combines hands‑on lab testing with careful data analysis, supporting each other in troubleshooting measurement hardware and evaluating supplier performance. Collaboration is part of the daily work, with team members sharing findings, reviewing results, and maintaining clear documentation to ensure reliable outcomes. The environment supports focused, independent work while encouraging open discussion when complex technical questions arise. Together, the team contributes trusted measurement insights that support sound engineering decisions.
