A Snapshot of Your Day

The Global Head of Business Development & Strategy role is a key leadership function within the Siemens Energy Compressor organization responsible for strategic growth & process improvement activities. You will directly lead and work with cross functional & international teams in support of a compressor segment business while designing and driving initiatives in close partnership with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Field Service, Parts, Repair, and across our CP Regional organizations located in North & Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia.

This role will report directly to the Vice President of the Segment within the Compression Business.

We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader that looks at shaping the Compression service business for future generations!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and member of the compression segment leadership team, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational setup.
  • Analyze business challenges and complex data to develop actionable solutions and advise senior management on strategic positioning based on external environment and business drivers.
  • Create executive presentations to communicate business strategies and leverage organizational resources to drive sales and achieve growth targets.
  • Establish metrics to track initiative status, ensuring financial and operational growth targets are met while developing unique value propositions and portfolio positioning.
  • Coordinate internal process improvement programs to enhance the compressor portfolio, promote cross-business collaboration, and drive synergies.
  • Conduct financial analyses, competitor analysis, and develop cross-functional teams to foster a high-performance culture focused on business excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration with over 8 years of experience in service business areas such as Strategy, Sales, Engineering, and Business Development, demonstrating a successful track record in driving strategy and business development programs. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Preferred background in management consulting, strategy, or portfolio management, complemented by strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills for timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to Senior Leadership and build strong networks and relationships to inspire and motivate teams while managing stakeholders across various levels.
  • Foster an open and collaborative team environment that encourages contributions from all members, while actively seeking feedback and demonstrating eagerness to learn.
  • Proficient in tools such as PowerPoint, Efficient Elements, ThinkCell, Excel, Salesforce.com, and Tableau, with the ability to lead multiple projects and tasks through structured problem-solving and strategic thinking.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, fluent in English, with additional languages considered an advantage, and possess strong business insight and analytical skills for visualizing complex data.
