A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a screw compressor expert to help us craft the future of one of our heritage product lines. You will grow our Engineering expertise to support the Service Fleet of dry screw compressors at the SE facility in Houston. You will work together with our Service Center team in Houston and develop a roadmap for Engineering to grow this business area and to define and find the needed experts in this business. Collaboration with our customers and marketing teams on the one hand and being in contact with our trouble shooting teams will be a specific part of your working time.

This role will be part of the core compressor team will report into the product line owner within the Compression business. You will work full time at the Houston facility. Travel may be needed to fulfill this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze the dry screw compressor fleet to identify areas for improvement and define a roadmap for enhancing technical and service offerings to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement, and Troubleshooting teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of improvement initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for individual growth fields and prioritize work packages based on the established roadmap.
  • Build temporary execution teams to implement prioritized projects and improvements.
  • Share expertise with the engineering team to establish execution processes that comply with SE standards.
  • Identify and recruit necessary engineering expertise to form a dedicated team for project execution.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field.
  • 10 years of experience in the design of screw compressors for air and process gas applications. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • In-depth machinery expertise in screw compressor components, including anti-friction bearings, sleeve bearings, seals, clearances, and cooling systems.
  • Proficient in screw compressor calculations, including performance, rotor dynamics, and material selection.
  • Extensive experience in design processes, from initial concept through to final design.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting dry screw compressors to resolve operational issues.
