A Snapshot of Your Day
We are currently seeking for an EHS Country Lead to join our team considering the expanding market opportunities within the dynamic energy sector. Adherence to EHS principles is of paramount importance within the organization and business. In line with that, we would expect you to have a sound understanding of EHS fundamentals as well as experience in implementing the EHS Management System with an integrated approach with all applicable standards and legislative / legal requirements. You will be responsible for the EHS processes and activities within Japan and interact with various functions and disciplines within the corporate governance teams and the business. Therefore, you shall possess excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead EHS governance for Korea, supporting Country MD, Business Areas, and Global Functions.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and Siemens Energy EHS Management System.
- Champion EHS and Quality standards, promoting awareness and training across all functions.
- Drive risk management, audits, and incident investigations to ensure corrective actions.
- Engage stakeholders internally and externally to meet EHS requirements throughout project lifecycles.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focusing on digitalization, simplification, and innovation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or EHS-related field; recognized certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, ideally in energy or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of legal compliance, risk assessment, and incident management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence diverse teams.
- Auditor certification in ISO 9001, 14001, and/or 45001 (or internal audit experience).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Korean language is a plus.
