With a strong foundation in engineering and hands-on experience in technology administration, this is an opportunity to develop, implement, and support hardware and software systems for power plant and utilities control environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and provide technical support for hardware and software systems that support power plant/utilities control system.
  • System Administrators design, analyze, install, configure, upgrade, test, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware in support of a secure operational network for ultra-high availability environments. 
  • Supported systems may include operating systems (Linux and Windows), network hardware, server hardware, security tools, monitoring tools, Web servers, Application servers, Integration servers, and other applications or systems.
  • Coordinates and provides user training on supported systems.
  • Prepares necessary electronic, written and oral reports, summaries, forms, and documentation covering various products' software and operation from samples, studies, statistics, and outside resources.
  • Consults with business units, and other OT organizations with planning, designing, configuring of OT solutions.
  • Installation, upgrading, testing, monitoring, tuning, documenting, and maintaining software and/or hardware in accordance with established OT policies and procedures and may participate in installation or upgrade projects or teams.
  • As needed, use skills and expertise to enable reliable and secure operation of 24/7 mission critical systems and applications.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis; troubleshooting methodology; detailed problem documentation; other requirements in support of Problem Management.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Engineering or Information Computer Technology
  • 2 - 4 years relevant Technology administration experience
  • Installation, configuration, upgrade, test, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware of relevant technology platform(s)
  • Willing to travel to sites and travel on short notice and able to handle flexible working hours on demand basis
  • Work on a roaster for after-hours on-call support.
  • Experience with Siemens SPPA-T3000, T2000 (added advantage), Omnivise, PSC7 Distributed Control Systems or other control systems will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting industrial communication protocols for third party interfaces (Modbus, DNP3.0 and OPC) will be highly regarded.
  • Solid understanding of Network concepts such as routing, sub-netting, VLAN's
  • An understanding of cyber security concepts including firewall configuration, network monitoring/detection applications and remote access solutions.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
