About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of a distributed team of engineers and scientists in a technology department. The task of this team is to develop new ceramic and coating materials, technologies and test methods for the stationary gas turbine, but also for the energy transition in other areas of the company. You will have the opportunity to work with various departments as well as internal and external interfaces to develop new ceramic and coating technologies for customer requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- You will work in the analysis of customer requirements in the field of ceramics and high-temperature coatings.
- Will contribute to the development of innovative materials and processes.
- Will serve as technical interface between internal and external partners to coordinate technology development, design, production, quality and services.
- Proactively looking for the acquisition of public funding to support research and development projects.
What You Bring (requirements)
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Natural Sciences. We are open to graduates with relevant project work or internship experience.
- Professional experience in ceramic coatings, corrosion coatings, thermal barrier coatings and power generation is desirable. Applicants with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
- Experience in using MS Office software (Word, Power Point, Access, Excel).
- Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, speaking). Previous experience working in international teams is desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally for business purposes.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
