About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
You’ll analyze PLM application infrastructure, architect and implement Azure solutions to fit the business and IT needs. You’ll adapt and modernize the PLM infrastructure landscape to make the best use of cloud native technologies. In addition, you’ll provide technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive the Azure infrastructure landscape within Siemens Energy and work with a global team to bring best in class cloud technologies to PLM organization within Siemens Energy
- Modernize legacy PLM architecture to make use of cloud flexibility, scalability etc.
- Optimize cost across various Azure subscriptions by making use of all available tools
- Strategic vision for optimal communication between Azure, GCP and AWS for efficient communication between Siemens Energy applications
- Minimize reliance on on-premises devices and network
- Analyze and define proper Azure Disaster Recovery process for various PLM applications
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and other tools
- Work with a global team to deliver best in class PLM applications that support in making great products for our customers.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with a relevant experience in the application infrastructure area, networking concepts etc..
- Cloud experience especially in Azure.
- Deep knowledge of the Well Architected Application framework from Microsoft
- Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Services and ability to guide legacy applications towards containerization
- Deep knowledge of the various Azure products such as Compute, Storage, Application Gateway, Firewall etc.
- Expertise in setting up Azure DNS resolvers, domain controllers etc. and provide guidance to applications using Azure DNS services
- Experience in Azure networking, configuring Hub and Spoke networks, defining route tables, establishing peerings, troubleshooting connectivity issues etc.
- Proficient in Azure security products such as Defender, Firewall etc and ability to understand SE cybersecurity regulations and transform them into Azure policies, support applications in implementing various security measures.
- Define and implement appropriate Azure Disaster Recovery solution based on application needs
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure As Code using Terraform
