A Snapshot of Your Day

The power industry landscape is changing, and Siemens Energy is at the heart of this transformation. Applying digital systems in the market helps us improve our value and turn data into actionable insights. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and well-organized individual to join our Digital Grid team in North America. As a technical sales specialist, you will work to develop your territory by calling on various markets such as utilities, renewable developers, and other industrial sectors. Working closely with customers, you will be involved in the sales of our products and services!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop a pipeline of business in our Grid Consulting solutions.
  • Work closely with our power customers to develop solutions which include edge of grid technologies, digital substations, transmission power optimization and power consulting team.
  • Provide forecasts and engage in the development of Digital Grid solutions, bringing back strong market feedback and competitive data.
  • Manage key accounts within your territory by developing and executing comprehensive account plans. The includes identifying customer needs, setting strategic priorities, and aligning Siemens Energy’s solutions to meet those needs.
  • Regularly engage with key decision makers to build strong relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive long-term business growth.
  • Provide monthly forecasts to the business unit to support leadership’s decision-making and business adjustments.
  • Bring back valuable voice of customer feedback and work with the business unit to improve product or solutions.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience in capital equipment, instrumentation, or complex solution portfolios
  • Strong understanding of energy infrastructure, IT architecture, ERP platforms, and electric utility business models
  • Experience with grid interconnection, substation design, automation, and consulting
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, substation protocols (DNP, IEC61850, Modbus), and asset monitoring technologies
  • Knowledge of asset performance management, IoT applications, and cybersecurity in utility environments
  • Proficiency in customer management (CRM) software is required (Salesforce)
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
