A Snapshot of Your Day 

The role of the SQE (HRSG) in a customer project is to collaborate with the Project Supplier Quality Manager (PSQM), Quality Manager in Project (QMiP) and Engineer Discipline (ED) to coordinate and perform inspection and quality review of documentation rated to the HRSG. Key interfaces are the local and global Supplier Quality Management team, Project Procurement Manager, Project Management and Engineering.

SQEs are senior quality professionals with background in mechanical or electrical engineering, welding experts, or certified senior auditors.  

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Represent Supply Quality in cross functional meetings and strongly collaboration with Procurement, Project Management, Engineering and Quality Management
  • Ensure and improve the supplier quality in the assigned Projects. Implements SQM requirements such as preventive actions, technical specifications, and qualification of suppliers. Acts as SQM contact in cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for supplier qualification, product / process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, and quality assured and cost-effective supply base, for the components within the HRSG commodity.
  • Perform source / virtual / desk inspection of suppliers of components and systems in the area of responsibility. Expedient identification and reporting of findings and observations detected during source inspections.
  • Coordinate non-conformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate Inspections with cross functional teams as well as 3rd party contractors. Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in an engineering / technical field
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in quality management, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Technical understanding of Heat Exchangers and Steam Boilers, and associated Codes and Standards. Experience in the qualification of suppliers and surveillance of manufacturing suppliers.
  • Profound knowledge in Welding, Non-Destructive Testing, Coating and Pressure Equipment
  • Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
  • Very good collaboration and communication skills. Business fluent in written and spoken English. Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally
