Über die Aufgabe
Your day involves collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies to review progress on operational activities, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and safety objectives while resolving any challenges that arise. Throughout the day, you lead your team of employees and contractors by offering guidance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, tracking KPIs, and ensuring adherence to company policies, all while promoting a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Leadership & Operations Management: Oversee and coach employees in repair and overhaul activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, generators, and related equipment across power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries, ensuring alignment with engineering, project management, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, quality, EHS, and commercial teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within a cross-border, matrix organization to ensure the effective execution of EMS objectives, focusing on achieving the highest quality standards, on-time and on-budget project delivery, and maintaining a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Strategic Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Represent the business to senior management, contributing to business strategy development and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of operations.
- People Management: Lead and manage a team of 50-100 employees and contractors, focusing on training, development, performance evaluation, succession planning, and fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, excellence, and inclusiveness.
- Operational Excellence: Define and implement optimized operational models, business growth strategies, cost control measures, and profitability plans, while leveraging industry best practices like Lean, Agile, and data-driven continuous improvement methodologies.
- Compliance & KPIs: Ensure compliance with company HR, EHS, and QMS policies, while defining, measuring, and improving operational KPIs to drive transparent, measurable, and innovative process improvements across all activities.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field from an accredited university or college.
- Over 10 years of experience in General and Production Management roles, with expertise in technical, commercial, and team management aspects.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, including inspection, testing, machining, balancing, welding repairs, assembly, and surface preparation, all adhering to international standards.
- In-depth understanding of international standards, industry norms, planning concepts, and proficiency in software tools like Primavera, MS Office, ERP, MES, and CAD systems.
- Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic language skills being a significant advantage.
- A forward-thinking, innovative problem-solver with strong leadership abilities across cultures, excellent communication and organizational skills, a focus on quality and safety, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while balancing stakeholder needs.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
