Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of a collaborative global finance team reporting to the Head of Performance Controlling with opportunities to influence cross-functional initiatives. This is a pivotal role in driving financial transparency and strategic insight across the Steam Turbines and Generators business with a strong focus on Country and Cost Center controlling for German organization. You’ll lead the analysis and reporting of monthly actuals, forecasts, and budgets, consolidating data from functions and team with the ability to condense and deliver executive-level summaries. Your work will directly support senior leadership in understanding financial impacts across diverse accounting systems and geographies, enabling informed decision-making and introducing continuous performance improvements. 

 How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Execute monthly actuals, forecast and annual budget processes in close collaboration with functional areas and ensure correct and in-time closing of local SAP system 
  • Drive forecast accuracy and transparency by building strong partnerships and making recommendations on improvement strategies.
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights ensuring a comprehensive understanding that the story aligns with the figures. 
  • Define, track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business performance and align with strategic goals. 
  • Prepare and present impactful monthly and quarterly presentations on STG business performance using creativity and aligning financial figures with the storyline. 
  • Conduct high-visibility ad-hoc financial analyses and support special projects. Champion in digitalization and process efficiency across reporting workflows using existing financial reporting software, digi tools and LEAN methodology. 
What You Bring 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent certification preferred. 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting within a global enterprise and strong background in financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and controlling with a clear understanding of accounting principles. 
  • Experience working in a matrixed or multinational environment, particularly in commercial project management, commercial sales or operations is a plus. 
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing as well as skilled communicator able to convey complex financial concepts effectively. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability and creativity to influence stakeholders and drive change. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Office, ERP systems; experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a strong advantage. Knowledge and insights about EPM+ as global financial reporting system is beneficial. Fluent in English, German preferable
