A Snapshot of Your Day
Together with your engagement team, you're reviewing and analyzing the procurement processes for fraud and corruption risks. You’re assessing whether these compliance risks are effectively mitigated. This includes also reviewing critical transactions that you have previously identified together with our data analytics team. Later in the day you have a short catch-up call with the rest of the team that works remotely on other engagement focus areas, share the work results, and perform a peer review of the findings. Together you start working on the audit report.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Be a change agent and help us predicting future risks by working in an agile and innovative environment on forward-looking projects that provide assurance on critical compliance matters.
- Develop engagement planning by defining rationale for scoping decisions and develop audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risks.
- Make use of data analytics methods to increase audit coverage and ensure that all risks are identified at early stage of audit planning.
- Execute audit engagements demonstrating a high degree of audit and subject matter expertise. Understand the broader context and implications of the various risks affecting the business.
- Assess relevancy of audit findings, potential exposures, materiality, trends, and demonstrate awareness of big picture issues. Interpret business priorities and anticipate issues and obstacles.
- Identify root causes of findings including the associated impact to the business by using analytical skills and define recommendations for management to mitigate those.
- Conclude and document audit observations in the audit report, participate in closing meetings with management to agree on observations and recommendations.
- Manage timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks, including audits, projects, special assignments, and administrative activities. Independently completing multiple tasks across the team and department.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully meet deadlines.
What You Bring
- We are looking for a firm believer that a good understanding of data, technology and innovative audit procedures will elevate the value proposition of Assurance.
- You’re willing to leverage the potential of data analytics and enhance your technical expertise.
- You believe integrity and objectivity are core elements to providing assurance on the effectiveness of Siemens Energy’s governance, risk management and internal control processes.
- You have a strong past performance in academics (Legal, Finance, Compliance). CPA, CIA, or CFE certification is desired.
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a Big4 accounting or consulting firm or within Internal Audit or Compliance of a multinational enterprise and already gained first management experience.
- You bring advance knowledge and experience in identifying, analyzing, and addressing compliance risks, such as Anti-Corruption, Fraud Prevention, and Anti-Money Laundering.
- You have the desire and potential to develop into future leadership roles within Siemens Energy as your next career step.
- You are committed to continuous learning and to global travel up to 50%.
