A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Application Developer, you will play a key role in ensuring business continuity for Siemens Energy's Asia Pacific region by developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, designing and building new regional solutions while maintaining and optimizing existing applications that support key business processes.
Your day will involve collaborating with business stakeholders, regional IT teams, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions. Combining full-stack application development with hands-on technical support, you will help bridge systems across the organization while ensuring application stability, performance, and continuous improvement. Experience with AI-assisted ("vibe") coding and modern development practices will be an added advantage.
How You'll Make an Impact
• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design and develop new applications supporting the Asia Pacific region.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Enhance and maintain existing business applications while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Configure and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications to address regional business requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including application design specifications and deployment guides.
• Ensure proper source code management, maintenance, and version control.
• Provide technical support for regional applications, serving as a key contact for business users.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, programming issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with regional IT teams and business stakeholders to manage application lifecycles and support future system consolidation initiatives.
• Support application testing, deployment, and continuous enhancement activities while responding to changing business requirements and user feedback.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience in application development and application support.
• Strong experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience in full-stack application development and maintenance.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, and .NET Framework.
• Experience configuring and integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Experience with debugging, unit testing, and software quality assurance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams in a global environment.
• Knowledge or experience with AI-assisted ("Vibe") coding is an added advantage.

You will be part of Siemens Energy's Information Technology organization, supporting the Asia Pacific region by delivering reliable, scalable, and innovative application solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, regional IT teams, and implementation partners, you will contribute to business continuity, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives across the region.
