Senior Account - Business Development Manager at Siemens Energy

The Senior Account / Business Development Manager (BDM) is dedicated to increasing the penetration and profitable growth of Siemens Energy's local Accounts (customers in O&G). You will present our complete portfolio, guiding strategic efforts and serving as the liaison between customer headquarters and our internal organization

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Develop strategic global partnerships and relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Ensure access to central functions, Hubs, and Business Areas.
  • Establish long-term objectives for Siemens Energy.
  • Identify projects and opportunities to support the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Hub, Business Units, and Senior Executives to improve product delivery.
  • Coordinate and motivate the Business Area Sales team for profitable growth.
  • Focus on local customers with significant business potential and energy transition relevance.
  • Understand customer targets, needs, and processes; share insights with Business Areas.
  • Coordinate activities across Business Areas and Hubs to pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Build new business opportunities and share market intelligence; conduct customer happiness surveys.
  • Develop a 3 to 5-year account strategy aligned with customer goals and critical metrics.
  • Formulate a strategic plan in alignment with Hubs/Regions and Business Areas.
  • Provide account requirements to influence strategies based on customer needs.
  • Identify and develop short, medium, and long-term opportunities for Siemens Energy.
  • Continuously detail strategic and operational account planning for transparency.

What You Bring 

  • Over 10 years of sales and management experience with a proven track record in securing new orders.
  • Understanding of business management, including planning, financing, contracts, and operations.
  • Knowledge of customer core processes, industry value chains, and business strategies to identify additional business potential.
  • Detailed understanding of industry drivers, challenges, competitors, and future trends.
  • Familiarity with the strategy and portfolio of the relevant industry market/vertical.
  • Understanding of Siemens Energy’s overall portfolio and sales processes.
  • Knowledge of Executive Selling Techniques for selling value at the executive level.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in intercultural communication, motivation techniques, conflict management, and mediation.
  • Understanding of business plans and development processes; ability to apply Value Selling Techniques.
  • Knowledge of commercial methods and tools, including pricing, terms & conditions, and controlling.
  • Ability to apply IT tools effectively in work.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Arabic, and French.
  • Understanding of core processes in Opportunity and Offer Management, application of professional Project Management Skills.
  • Knowledge and application of risk management techniques.
  • Proficient in professional presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills; excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation with extensive customer interface experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team or department successfully.
