A Snapshot of Your Day

The Regional Sales Lead for Nuclear Service is a regionally focused commercial role supporting nuclear power service within region North America. Key responsibilities include developing strategic service offerings, developing winning proposals, and negotiating complex contracts maintaining accurate financial and feedback status for all commercial offerings in the Nuclear Region.

This role will collaborate closely with a platform team comprising Power System Sales (PSS), Nuclear District Service Managers (DSMs), and steam turbine and generator Product Lines. The primary objective is to drive business growth while adhering to business unit financial and risk parameters.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Analyze customer needs: Evaluate customer requests for quotes (RFQs) received from the field sales team and internal sources.

  • Collaborate for success: Work closely with operations to develop cost estimates and project schedules that meet customer requirements and secure sales.
  • Develop strategic proposals: Work closely with steam turbine and generator product lines to develop proposals that showcase Siemens Energy's value and leverage the latest technology.
  • Develop winning pricing strategies: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to determine the most profitable pricing strategy. Secure executive management approval when necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts: Partner with field sales teams to finalize contracts that meet Siemens Energy's financial targets for order intake and profit margins.
  • Support outage planning and scope expansion: Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize outage plans and identify opportunities to expand service offerings within the nuclear region.
  • Global collaboration: Maintain close communication with the global marketing team regarding current and future offerings, capabilities, and relevant technology development.
  • Pipeline management: Actively develop and manage a robust pipeline of high-potential projects within the CRM system (Salesforce.com) for accurate forecasting.
  • Compliance and governance: Adhere to established company procedures and ensure all activities comply with established Limits of Authority guidelines.
  • Travel: Occasional travel (estimated 20%) to customer sites, corporate offices, and industry conferences may be required.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 2+ years of combined experience in power generation; preferably with Generator or Steam Turbine Service experience. Experience in selling and marketing service products, proposal integration, or similar roles is a strong plus. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher role
  • Relationships & Teamwork: Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners. You will lead and coordinate a cross-functional team, including product lines, legal, finance, marketing, and engineering.
  • Opportunity Management Skills: Proficiency in CRM software like Salesforce.com and experience with sales analytics tools is required.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Excellent negotiation skills are essential, with the ability to represent Siemens Energy at various management levels. Strong written, verbal skills are also needed to effectively present and influence customers.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills are required to secure resources needed for proposal development, project delivery, and influencing customers to choose Siemens Energy solutions.
  • Market expertise: Possess a strong understanding of nuclear industry trends and standards, leveraging this knowledge to inform and refine business strategies.
  • Work Location: This position follows a hybrid work location model, where at least 3 days per week will be in our office location, and the remaining days may be worked from an alternate location
  • Eligibility: Legal authorization for employment in the United States without requiring current or future employer sponsorship is mandatory. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfer opportunities.
