A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Quality Manager in Projects to join our team in Orlando, FL. Ensuring that quality standards are met and exceeded by developing project plans, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Collaboration is key, as the QMiP coordinates with various teams to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards. The QMiP will act and operatively support the Project Managers as expert and partner by planning, supervision, ensuring and reporting of appropriate activities regarding failure prevention, effective proceedings (pro-active & re-active) and continuous improvement over the entire life cycle of the project. It's a challenging yet rewarding experience that makes a significant impact on the success of our projects!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate and present NCC and continuous improvement updates across the organization and management, as needed.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement activities across the business.
  • Coordinate and participate in NCC avoidance, RCA Facilitation (5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.), LL development, and clear communication of continuous improvement activities and results.
  • During project Execution phase: develop and manage Project Quality Plan, ITPs, Quality Gates and project milestones, review risk registers and support mitigation planning, identify and communicate LL, ensure quality NCC data, support Site Quality personnel and activities, compile/review final Quality Documentation packages for customer, warranty claim support.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, operations management, business, or related field; or combined equivalent experience (work/education).
  • 3+ years of industry experience. Strong experience in project / quality / improvement management, experience in electrical substation business or equivalent large industrial design/construction projects.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, non-conformance management and continuous improvement systems. Internal Auditor certified is a plus point.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive results while working with others in a matrix organization to ensure project success.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
