A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will design, implement, and commission integrated industrial power solutions using Siemens’ advanced technology portfolio. Your background in switchgear engineering, emergency power systems, and utility grid interconnect compliance will be key to delivering customized solutions for industries such as Oil & Gas, data centers, and critical infrastructure.

 You will collaborate with drive and automation engineers to integrate PLC control and industrial drive systems, ensuring higher-level coordination and reliability. Supported by Siemens’ global standards and technical experts, you will lead projects from proposal through commissioning, addressing customer requirements for design, performance, and compliance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute customized power solutions under minimal supervision, leveraging your experience with LV/MV (low voltage/ medium voltage) generator paralleling switchgear and control systems.
  • Provide engineering support across Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Service, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Interface directly with customers to resolve technical challenges and present Siemens solutions, building on your proven track record of customer engagement.
  • Prepare project-specific documentation, including system descriptions and commissioning procedures, drawing on your experience with design and submittal preparation.
  • Collaborate with CAD specialists and design engineers to deliver accurate drawing packages.
  • Approve subcontractor solutions to meet industry and customer standards.

What You Bring

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ experience with medium-voltage systems, switchgear, and emergency power systems. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills demonstrated through leadership roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills honed through customer-facing positions.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

  • Leadership experience managing engineering teams.
  • Industry exposure in Oil & Gas and industrial power distribution
  • Familiarity with variable speed drives, inverter systems, and coordinated controls
  • Commissioning expertise
