A Snapshot of Your Day

Reporting to the head of substation engineering in North America, you will be responsible for the primary engineering team in all phases of work including client engagement, proposals, project delivery, as-builts, warranty and post contract support for all substation engineering activities for GIS, AIS, and Data Center projects.

This requires a proven successful track record in managing complex teams to deliver complete engineering solutions and of managing change to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of engineering excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

 

  • Oversee the local primary engineering discipline and ensure that the interfaces with cross functional teams including System Design, Plant Design, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering are seamless and compliant to project requirements.
  • Responsible for the coordination, knowledge management, mentoring and assignment of engineering resources.
  • Ensure that the engineering deliverables meet the project requirements and develop engineering budgets and execution plans.
  • Lead and motivate internal teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all engineering activities.

 

What You Bring 


  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in engineering and/or project management in the transmission and distribution industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, project planning, construction, and commissioning for complex substation systems with a proven track record of managing large teams in complex, international, matrix organizations.
  • Knowledge of ANSI and IEC standards is required, familiarity with Siemens Energy solutions and experience in international business is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
