A Snapshot of Your Day

Planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the order and shipping process for Siemens Energy Gas and Power Transmission Service to determine material requirements by providing routine support for purchasing, reverse logistics, order management (OM), and materials management (MM) by coordinating system and process flow. Compiles and maintains records such as time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped, inputs data into shipping report.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Run report in SAP (VL10H) showing open orders that need to be processed. Evaluate available stock and determine which orders can be delivered.
  • Create deliveries for orders to be shipped.
  • Run Direct Ship Order reports and coordinate with cross-functional teams across all order phases—from order entry through shipment and delivery—to ensure accurate processing, visibility, and timely execution.
  • Identify potential late orders and take necessary steps to improve delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers and cross-functional partners (Sales, Purchasing, Quote Team, and Warehouse) to coordinate order status, resolve issues, and support on-time delivery.

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in order management, materials management, shipping/logistics, or a related function, with demonstrated success performing the key responsibilities outlined above.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP Material Management functions.
  • Knowledge E1p and/or PT2 a plus
  • Must have the ability to work within a team.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
