A Snapshot of Your Day

The role involves creating, evaluating, and reviewing manufacturing (MF) documentation to support the manufacturing process, while also analyzing shop floor data, design requirements, and manufacturing capabilities to provide quality engineering recommendations to design engineering. It includes providing manufacturing engineering support in preparing detailed manufacturing information—such as routing, special tooling costs, and risk assessments for the integration of new products, processes, and technologies into production.

Additionally, the role encompasses the design and fabrication of tooling and fixtures used in product manufacturing, as well as supporting product quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to proactively and reactively minimize non-conformances.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Creates, evaluates, and reviews MF Documentation in support of the manufacturing process.
  • Analyzes shop floor inputs (data & findings), design requirements, and manufacturing capability to formulate quality manufacturing engineering recommendations to design engineering.
  • Manufacturing Engineering support in the preparation of detailed manufacturing information (Routing, Special Tooling Costs, Risks, etc.) for new product, processes, and technology into manufacturing
  • Design and manufacture tooling and fixtures to be used in product manufacturing
  • Support product quality and improvements to minimize non-conformance (both proactive and reactive).
  • Embracing Zero harm Safety & Quality Culture.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Manufacturing or Engineering related concentration with 2-3 years of manufacturing experience while possessing intimate working knowledge of assembly procedures.
  • The ideal applicant will have 3+ years’ experience with assembly, mechanics, or related hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical assemblies.
  • Provide technical leadership and execution of Manufacturing Safety, Quality, Processes, Technology, and Execution of Product Work scope.
  • Strong communications and communication skills are extremely important as well as flexibility for working nights and weekends as needed to support urgent customer projects in the factory.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
