Join Siemens Energy and become the trusted first point of contact for our employees’ IT needs. You’ll keep our teams moving by diagnosing and resolving a variety of hardware and software issues, either face-to-face or remotely. This is a role where your quick thinking, technical expertise, and commitment to excellent customer service will directly impact productivity and minimize downtime. From handling support tickets to assisting in global IT rollouts, you will play a vital role in ensuring our technological environment runs smoothly. Collaborating with colleagues and vendors, you’ll continuously seek ways to improve IT services and support reliable, effective solutions for all.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide on-site and remote support for workplace IT topics (e.g. laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, printing, voice/telephone).
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and manage support tickets, escalating complex problems to specialized IT teams or vendors when necessary.
- Act as an extension of the global Service Desk to resolve local user-facing issues, provide dedicated support for VIP users and critical business functions, and ensure consistent, excellent end-user experience.
- Serve as the escalation point for workplace-related incidents, coordinating with global teams and vendors to resolve major issues and complaints, and ensuring prompt communication and follow-up with affected users.
- Support local infrastructure needs and global IT rollouts in line with central IT guidelines, assist users with ordering and consuming IT services, and manage the full asset lifecycle – including IT housekeeping, hardware inventory, and replacements.
- Contribute to process improvement by testing new hardware/software and sharing recommendations to enhance user experience.
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in IT user support or helpdesk roles, showcasing strong troubleshooting and hands-on technical skills.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation Certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, ServiceNow, and system administration.
- Networking skills including LAN/WAN, VPN, and DHCP troubleshooting.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
