A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is seeking a Lead of Gas Service, Sales Distributed for the subregion RS2 to drive growth in our regional gas service business. Reporting to the Head of Sales, Gas Services, Sales Distributed Middle East, you will expand our large rotating equipment service business while ensuring profitability and managing risk. As part of the GS ME Sales Distributed leadership team, you will focus on utilities and O&G opportunities, leveraging your market knowledge to support regional sales teams in winning projects and developing gas services. Your role will be vital in meeting the region’s demand for reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity, contributing to a sustainable energy future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the RS2 subregion team for Gas Services and Sales, positioning Siemens Energy as the premier service provider in the Distributed Gas Turbine market.
  • Analyze regional market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop and execute a subregion sales strategy based on deep market knowledge.
  • Ensure alignment and implementation of subregional, regional, and global strategies by identifying business needs and innovative models for long-term success.
  • Build strong client relationships, identify business opportunities, and enhance market transparency to increase customer satisfaction while managing a team of sales account managers.
  • Act as an advisor and coach for the sales and proposals team, guiding them through project development and negotiations while maintaining high-quality proposals and clear strategy.
  • Foster cross-country collaboration, support the growth of digital and decarbonization offerings, and ensure all activities comply with the company’s compliance and business conduct policies.
  • Define/implement strategies to grow the business

What You Bring 

  • Strong leadership and strategic delivery experience in a global company, with a solid understanding of the energy market.
  • Highly experienced sales professional with deep knowledge of the utilities segment and familiarity with the Iraq customer landscape and open market service offerings.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant sales experience in servicing rotating equipment, particularly gas turbines and compressors, with basic knowledge of steam turbines and generators.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven track record in opportunity development, negotiation, and diverse business environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify business opportunities and develop them into value-added solutions, along with knowledge of climate change and energy policies.
  • University degree in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering), with leadership experience and a proven track record in people management in an intercultural environment.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
