A Snapshot of Your Day
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing a team of Operational Procurement Professionals to ensure safe, efficient and reliable supply of materials and site services. Working with partners and Strategic Procurement you will ensure our processes meet the requirements of our operational business whilst maintaining a high level of compliance and integrity.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Enable customer focused solutions in an execution environment
- Ensure suppliers are on-boarded in a professional and efficient manor
- Provide operational procurement support to ensure effective execution
- In collaboration execution teams, ensure reliable and best cost solutions are available in collaboration with project procurement plans and Strategic Procurement strategies
- Increase efficiency, whilst continually improving and standardizing processes
- Ensure compliance, governance and safety are held at the highest standard
- Lead, develop and empower the operational team within region Europe
- Communicate efficiently and expertly with internal and external partners with the ability to challenge status quo with respect and clarity
- Be collaborative and adaptable to changing business needs
- Complete Operational Procurement activities with agility and result orientation
What You Bring
- A minimum of 10 years of experience required within Procurement & Supply Chain
- Customer focus to deliver on our commitments
- Agile, experienced multinational leader with clear understanding of European law and directives in alignment with Siemens Energy guidelines
- Process innovator with the aim to make and lead change
- An excellent communicator with collaborative problem-solving capabilities
- A passion for people and their development
- Experience of using digitalization to increase efficiency
- SAP experience, in particular MRP
- Experience of handling supplier performance in execution
- Excellent English language skills. German language skills an advantage
- Availability to work from the office as well as to travel frequently, primarily across Europe, to support regional operations and engage with key partners
