A Snapshot of Your Day

This position is being established to provide dedicated leadership for logistics operations within the expanding GT Order Execution function for the Americas. The role is essential for managing the increased complexity and volume of project logistics driven by business growth. The role is structure around three core areas: strategic governance and process optimization for regional logistics, operational leadership for project execution, and financial and stakeholder management. This framework ensures that logistics operations are not only effectively managed on a day to day basis but are also strategically aligned with long-term business objectives and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in logistics management, particularly within a project-based environment. Proven leadership capabilities for managing experienced professionals, strategic process development skills, and strong financial acumen are critical requirement for success in this position.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Develop and implement regional logistics strategies, policies, and procedures for the Americas to support project and business goals.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks for all project logistics operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety, and trade regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance service quality across all transformer projects.
  • Lead, coach and manage a team of experienced logistics professionals in executing logistics for transformer an switchgear projects, including transport management and risk mitigation.
  • Manage logistics supplier relationships and influence and align with internal stakeholders on logistics concepts and operations.


What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Significant experience (8+) in logistics or supply chain management with a focus on large project logistics in the industrial or energy sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role (3+ years) managing teams of professionals and overseeing regional operations.
  • Team building, Business Acumen, Digitalization Mindset and Strategic Thinking are desired key skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
