A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to join our dynamic team. The Head of AGT package engineering (Primarily A35 and A65) will be the point of contact for all package-related development, standards, and related activities. The successful candidate will ensure the timely and budget-conscious implementation of programs while supporting project execution!

This role requires close partnership with the gas turbine core team and the package order execution team, along with a willingness to challenge the status quo and be agile in your philosophy of implementing the work at hand!


How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Lead all package development programs and standards for AGT products, ensuring consistency in design and functionality while maintaining the AGT product baselines.
  • Manage a global, multi-discipline engineering team responsible for implementing development projects across different locations, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies in close collaboration with AGT teams and departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee budget management for specific development projects, focusing on cost control and the introduction of new elements to the AGT product line with procurement and supply chain support.
  • Collaborate with MGT, SGT, and other non-gas turbine product lines to find opportunities for synergy, cost savings, and operational efficiency across multiple product offerings.
  • Communicate project status, achievements, and results to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, while leading client qualification processes for new product designs and ensuring safety in production and operation.


What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a Business-Related Degree
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience with AGT Gas Turbines and packages including key functional requirements and dependencies related to the complete package.
  • Project Execution and Product Development experience for AGT products and Product line.
  • Associated experience and knowledge of ERP systems, Finance and Project Management tools
  • An understanding and experience of 3D-modelling and 2D drafting of mechanical equipment using NX or an equivalent Computer-Aided Design studio.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to internal and external communications.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
