A Snapshot of Your Day 

You start the day with a fresh cup of coffee. You check your quotation dashboard and the status of new customer orders in the system and assign them to the relevant order managers. Later, at the weekly Jour Fix, you discuss the current project planning for customer appointments with your team and together you optimise the staffing of site managers and fitters in line with the latest progress in engineering, work preparation and supply chain management. In the afternoon, you will work with your colleagues from the South America region to finalise a complex proposal project and end the day with a virtual customer meeting to discuss the status of current orders and potential new projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact
 
  • Leading the Offer & Order Management department of Transformer Service Operations Germany with currently 10-12 Senior Offer & Order Managers
  • Management of the worldwide offer and project processing activities according to the OEM principle from the assigned plants in Germany
  • Management, coaching and development of the assigned employees
  • Development of a future strategy for the department to be managed, including knowledge management due to the upcoming generation change
  • Optimise existing processes and procedures, taking into account the IT programmes available at Siemens Energy for bidding and project management.
  • Stakeholder management with all parties involved within Siemens Energy (regions, plants, headquarters) as well as partners and suppliers with the aim of successfully generating new orders and professionally handling them to the satisfaction of our customers.
  • Sparring partner for the management of Transformer Service Operations Germany
What You Bring

  • University degree in electrical engineering/energy engineering/mechanical engineering/industrial engineering or similar or higher education with corresponding experience
  • Proven sales experience of capital goods requiring explanation, ideally in the electrical/energy sector
  • Hands-on project management skills
  • Initial disciplined management experience required
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills and a flair for stakeholder management
  • Good knowledge of German and business fluent English. Other languages are welcome.
