A Snapshot of Your Day
A day in the life of a Gas Turbine Assembly Technician specializing in gas turbine package assembly and compressor packages assembly early in the workshop, with a morning briefing to review project goals and priorities, and where the Technicians reviews project specifications and safety protocols. The morning is spent preparing materials, and ensuring all components meet quality standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform work following all safety procedures and policies.
- Reads and interprets drawings and schematics.
- Review, Interpret complex Assembly instructions, specs and blueprints.
- Able to use and understand computers.
- Inventory, clean and visually inspect all components and stage all equipment needed for assembly and safely offload incoming parts off transport using proper lifting/ rigging equipment and technical questions
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED or 10 years of relevant Gas turbine experience.
- 5+ years relevant experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment Manufacturing.
- RF and Datum range of turbo-compressors) including development and interpretation of technical assembly instructions, build methods and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries.
- Inspects repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all mechanical components, assemblies on gas turbines and compressor associated packages.
- Work and communicate with Engineering, QC, Material Control, and other crafts in production.
- Maintain and obey all EHS standards. Assist doing alignments and Parts Installation. 15% travel
