A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

In this role, you will serve as a key member of the WSC Factory Finance team, playing a critical role in driving financial visibility and operational performance. You will lead the tracking and reporting of CAPEX projects, oversee inventory management, and deliver insightful analysis on factory financials, including cost centers, productivity, and overall performance metrics. Additionally, you will support month-end close activities, budgeting and forecasting processes, and continuous improvement initiatives, while partnering cross-functionally to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making across the plant.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support financial planning processes, including development of periodic forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Oversee inventory management and support monthly reporting on cost centers, productivity, and factory performance metrics (e.g., scorecards).
  • Track and report CAPEX projects, including PO creation, invoice reconciliation, capitalization, and monthly spend analysis.
  • Drive process improvements and support ad-hoc and strategic finance initiatives to enhance reporting and controlling effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and across locations to share best practices, while contributing as a reliable, team-oriented partner willing to go the extra mile.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a higher-level role within the organization.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial statement modeling within a manufacturing or business unit/segment finance environment.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as data visualization and automation tools such as Tableau, KNIME, or UiPath.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
