A Snapshot of Your Day

The successful candidate’s role will involve daily interaction with internal teams both here in the US and our colleagues in Germany! The interaction with your allocated customers and region will be on an as needed basis. You will be leading/guiding the proposal team in the preparation of the proposals and be heavily involved in the approval process for each proposal!

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

      Business Development:

  • Leads all aspects of development of strategies for profitable penetration into new or existing market segments.
  • Is responsible for development and execution of account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.
  • Makes presentations to key customers on a technical level as and when required.
  • Guides business development within assigned key accounts and/or markets.
  • Develops sponsorship with key decision-makers.

      Proposals:

  • Leads to internal process for actual proposals and drives both the technical solution as well as the final price
  • Owns the Internal approval process for each proposal
  • Leads the presentation of the proposal at the customer meeting
  • Negotiates phase of the proposal
  • Owns the handover of the project to the project team when the project has been awarded

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years successful business development or sales experience in at least one of the following fields.
    • STATCOM
    • ESTATCOM
    • SYNCHRONOUS CONDENSER
    • FIXED SERIES CAPACITOR
  • Proven discernment in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e. financials strategic and tactical thinking etc.
  • Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel up to 30% domestic and on occasion international
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
