- End-to-End Ownership: Manage the complete data science lifecycle for various finance use cases, such as forecasting and anomaly detection.
- Business Problem Framing: Collaborate with product managers and finance stakeholders to define KPIs and translate business problems into testable hypotheses.
- Model Development: Develop and iterate models using appropriate methods (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP/LLMs), balancing accuracy, speed, and interpretability.
- Experimentation: Design and conduct experiments (A/B tests, backtesting) and clearly communicate results, including trade-offs and business implications.
- Collaboration for Production: Work with data and ML engineers to productionize models and data pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Statistical & ML Expertise: Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning; experience with LLMs is a plus.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL, with the ability to write production-quality code and collaborate effectively.
- Practical Experience: Experience building high-impact models from prototype to production in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
