A Snapshot of Your Day
Siemens Energy Canada is looking to grow its electrification and automation division. This role leads all aspects of development strategies for profitable penetration into Canadian government and commercial segments in the offshore and onshore fields.
- Lead the development and execution of market and account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.
- Guide business development within assigned key accounts and/or markets.
- Develop relationship and sponsorship with key decision-makers at key shipyards.
- Lead sales opportunities to develop sales strategy, develop the technical solution and proposals phases.
- The role will report to the Head of Sales Americas and the Canadian Business unit head.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the overall sales development process for the Canadian customers for both new projects builds and service work.
- Responsible for Opportunity discovery & qualification; strategy setting & development; identifying and influencing key decision makers; and successfully navigating complex internal & external selling environments.
- Exercise solid business acumen to develop and articulate a winning value proposition while maintaining company growth and profit guidelines.
- Responsible for Forecasting in assigned accounts –Accuracy/quality of forecast/ Sales funnel.
- Work closely with the engineering, commercial and executing teams for every new project.
- Develop and nurture client relationships and continually create new ones by active onsite visits and engagement sessions. Capture and share customer intelligence.
What You Bring
- Technical degree or experience in electrical engineering fields
- Petro, Chemical, or oil & gas networking experience
- Previous experience related to propulsion, power or control systems or low and medium voltage equipment
- Previous sales and business development experience (within Canada a plus)
- Good working knowledge in automation, controls, protection, drive systems, power systems, motors, electrical integration with a willingness and aptitude to learn
- Excellent communication skills with good understanding of English. French knowledge is bonus
- Ability to understand and manage internal and external customers expectations and generally operate independently
- Willing to travel within Canada, ~20% travel

This job may be based in British Columbia. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is $100,000-150,000 CAD. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
