A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy in US is seeking a Financial Analyst / Commercial Project Manager (CPM) for large gas turbine service projects. Project entrepreneur responsible for commercial aspects, project financials (controlling & reporting) & clean books and records. Co-leading of the project together with the project manager with the objective of executing the project according to the defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG). Partnership and collaboration between the CPM and the PM is the key for the overall project success.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Revenue, Margin, Cash Flow forecasting for the assigned projects portfolio and monthly revenue recognition according to Siemens Energy FRGs and IFRS
  • Conduct quarterly project reviews and present the updates to management jointly with the Project Manager, as well as identify, monitor, manage and present to management jointly with the project manager all commercial risks & opportunities
  • Customer invoicing and cash collections management
  • Review quarterly and yearly cost standards changes, update the cost models accordingly, and perform variance analysis, what if scenarios, and trend analysis for the projects assigned
  • Support the sales and marketing group with data and calculations for renegotiations, change orders, upsells, etc.
  • Work toward formal SE CPM qualification over time and ensure adherence to NCM guidelines, coordinate together with the PM the proper allocation of onshore and offshore parts, compliance with relevant tax regulations, e.g., PATAC, transfer pricing, EC, local laws, etc.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting or equivalent
  • 3 + years of professional experience in BA, Accounting, or Finance fields
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS and Siemens Energy FRGs
  • Strong skills in PC applications, primarily SAP, Microsoft Office, as well as strong analytical skills
  • The candidate should have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines is required
  • Candidate should be able to effectively communicate technical financial information to non-financial internal customers
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, UI Path and Tableau a plus
