Your Profile

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree in Engineering
  • You are able to work in an international environment, you have excellent communication skills and speak English (Arabic is a plus)
  • You are open to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and have demonstrated ability to work as a team player
  • You can understand customer requirements and can communicate these effectively within Siemens Energy organization
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the Power Generation Sector and are experienced with Gas-Steam Turbines, Generators, and aftermarket services
  • General experience about the project implementation and outage management is a plus
  • Good experience with processes involved for technical, commercial and legal clarification of an offer
  • Experience of collaboration with Siemens regional companies and / or external partners is preferred
  • Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations
  • Sensitive and responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, and cultural groups.
  • Proven integrity and high personal standards of behaviour.
  • Experience in working in a multinational and multicultural environment, as well as proven interpersonal skills and ability to successfully engage with diverse audiences.
  • Good working knowledge in MS Office suite

Your Responsibilities

  • In your role as a Sales Bid Engineer for our Gas Services division in Saudi Arabia, you are responsible for the overall bid process for Open Market Offerings within the sales organization for Saudi Arabia
  • You develop a complete understanding of the organization structure and key buying influences of assigned accounts
  • You work out the complete technical proposal and coordinate the inputs from the project team during the bidding process and incorporate the commercial and legal part of the proposal in the overall bid structure
  • You support the sales colleagues in the internal Limits of Authority (LoA) process
  • You align with Business Administration colleagues regarding tax concepts and business models
  • You prepare sales proposals for products and service opportunities
  • You analyze and evaluate the customer requirements and/or RFQ documents and work out best-fitting bidding strategies together with the sales colleagues and all other required parties
  • You support the sales colleagues in finding the best bid strategy. Furthermore, a coordination of all service-related topics with the relevant interfaces is required
  • You maintain customer and contact, providing comprehensive technical product application assistance
  • You take an active part in the negotiations together with the sales colleagues and hand over the projects to the project execution team
  • You perform cost and risk assessments and finalize the bid documents
