The Financial Controller for Digital Grid is responsible for building and managing financial models, planning controls, and reporting to support accurate forecasting and decision‑making. The role leads the monthly close and variance analysis, evaluates business cases through scenario modeling, drives process improvements, and enables timely, compliant actions to protect and improve financial performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Build robust financial models and implement planning controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment of financial and strategic plans.
• Own/support monthly close (journal entries, GL reconciliations), forecasting, and management reporting to deliver timely, decision-ready insights.
• Lead variance analysis versus plan/forecast; integrate market and competitor intelligence; recommend actions to protect/improve P&L, cash, and key KPIs.
• Evaluate business cases and strategic options with scenario/sensitivity modeling; translate findings into clear, prioritized recommendations and execution plans.
• Investigate issues across financial and operational systems; design creative, scalable process improvements that align with policies and enhance productivity.
• Establish and champion standardized frameworks and templates to resolve day-to-day conflicts, accelerate decisions, and enable fast, compliant implementation under tight deadlines.

What You Bring

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and established financial policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with SAP systems, including financial reporting, order entry, and project performance monitoring.
• Experience in cost accounting, cost controlling, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review market trends and competitor data, perform variance analysis, predict outcomes, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field. Progress toward or completion of an advanced qualification (MBA, CPA, CMA, or a Master’s degree in Accounting) is a plus.
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting and/or project financial accounting, with a strong focus on business processes and results.

At Digital Grid we provide power system engineering expertise, to help our customers identify, classify, and mitigate existing and future power system risks. We integrate Internet of Energy (IoE) in our digital solutions to enhance performance of the grid monitoring, control, and automation systems. We enable integration of renewables using next generation power electronic platforms and applications.
