A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Service Technician in the Onshore Wind Operations team in Guatemala, your day combines hands‑on field work with essential administrative activities that ensure the availability, continuity, and optimal performance of wind turbines. Under close supervision, you will carry out preventive maintenance, support corrective repairs, and collaborate with the technical team to ensure all tasks meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and accuracy. Your contribution is key to maintaining stable operations and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment at the wind farm.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on key wind turbine components following established procedures and checklists.
• Support senior technicians in diagnosing and carrying out basic corrective actions on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strictly comply with Siemens Energy safety protocols and all industry standards during on‑site activities.
• Ensure proper use, care, and operational readiness of tools and equipment.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as spare parts inventory, work order management, and activity reporting.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on completed work, service tasks, and time logging to the site supervisor.

What You Bring

• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training certification.
• Technical degree or vocational training in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in technical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or energy environment.
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting, electrical systems, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, SAP applications, and inventory systems.
• Behavioral competencies: accountability, active listening, teamwork, and strong attention to detail.
