A Snapshot of Your Day
In the Virtual Core team, Senior Software Engineers craft new web and mobile applications for Siemens Energy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, UX designers, and cloud specialists, to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences. Each day, you’ll translate stakeholder requirements into actionable features, implements robust automated testing to ensure quality, and guide junior developers through technical challenges. Your work will directly contribute to the scalability and intelligence of our energy management solutions, fostering innovation and enhancing developer experiences across the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain responsive web frontend applications using frameworks such as React, TypeScript, and Flutter.
- Integrate frontend applications with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and manage seamless deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate design prototypes into functional and user-friendly interfaces using tools like Figma.
- Implement automated testing strategies to ensure high code quality, reliability, and performance of frontend applications.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, crafting a collaborative team environment.
- Engage with partners to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable work items.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a robust portfolio of web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React, Flutter, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks for frontend applications to ensure robust and maintainable code.
- Superb communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and mentor junior developers.

The Virtual Core team is at the heart of Siemens Energy’s Software Delivery department, driving the development of foundational technologies and advanced platforms that power scalable and intelligent energy management solutions. Our mission is to empower the rapid growth of Siemens Energy’s digital portfolio by delivering robust, scalable, and secure building blocks through our Software Factory initiative. We focus on creating seamless integrations across IT and OT platforms, developing AI/ML/GenAI platforms for smart solutions, and enhancing developer experiences to ensure high-quality, compliant software delivery. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the Virtual Core team plays a crucial role in enabling both internal teams and external clients to build and deploy innovative energy management solutions across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
