A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Reporting directly to the Head of APAC Region, this is a critical leadership role accountable for the service operations in Australia and New Zealand (and other surrounding countries when applicable)
  • Develop, manage, and control budgets, forecasts, and cost structures; actively identify inefficiencies, control cost leakage, and implement actions to protect and improve contract margin performance. 
  • Customer ownership: Act as the primary customer interface responsible for building long-term relationships, managing expectations, resolving escalations, and ensuring contractual commitments are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Contract performance management: Ensure compliance with SMA/TSA/LTP obligations, including availability guarantees, reporting requirements, and performance KPIs, while proactively managing risks to contractual performance. 
  • Risk and opportunity management: Identify, quantify, and manage operational, technical, and commercial risks and opportunities; lead claims, variations, and change management processes to protect business value. 
  • Service execution leadership: Define and steer execution strategy through the Service Technical Supervisor, ensuring alignment between planning, resource allocation, and on-site delivery. 
  • HSE and quality assurance: Maintain full accountability for safe operations, ensuring compliance with SGRE standards, legal requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Commercial acumen: Ability to manage project financials, understand financial drivers, and make decisions that balance cost, revenue, and customer value. Define budget and drive forecast accuracy on revenues and cash for the portfolio
  • Strategic leadership: handle complex, multi-site operations, making decisions that influence long-term performance and customer relationships. Define portfolios strategies to preserve and increase backlog marginality, optimize costs and ways of working. 
  • Impact our operational cash flow with tight inventories and overdue control
  • Strong leadership skills to drive a large organization across multiple countries and cultures – including ability to select right management team and question status quo to find more and more efficient operative working manners
  • Ensure strong and tight alignment on regional basis and boardroom capabilities to present regional operation status 
  • Ability to drive the blue collar organization in the area focusing on their experience and improving it – including HSE focus and quality and trainings/ experience levels. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction on operations – via NPS or other tools – and keep and maintaining strong ties with key accounts of our core customers. 
  • Work jointly with Procurement, logistic, engineering and other functions to drive resilience and increase availability levels and KPIs of the fleet. Strong team work will be required. 
  • Communicate clearly, top down and bottom up – including townhalls, presence and embracing empathy. 
  • Ensure on time delivery of commitments – especially towards our customers. 

What You Bring

  • 12+ years of progressive experience operations or project management. This would include important leadership roles in challenging projects in multi cultural environments. 
  • Some years in a leadership or regional oversight role would be preferred, preferably within the Asia Pacific region.
  • Strong negotiation skills and drive are a key success factor – as well as strategic acumen and ability for boardroom presentations. Acumen on people selection is a key driver. 
  • Understanding of financial principles and the ability to develop business cases would be considered a strong advantage as well as contractual know how
  • Strong leadership experience managing multi-country teams and complex operational environments. 
  • Ability to bring stakeholders aligned as well as developing strategies required. 
  • Strong empathy preferred – including ability to generate healthy networks with partners and stakeholders (external and internal)
  • Either strong technical or commercial acumen – to be able to discuss about product matters and negotiate last mile of contracts. 
  • Stakeholder management: Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage customers, internal functions, and external partners effectively. Ability to delegate is very relevant for the role as well as selecting the right management team. 
  • Technical understanding: Deep awareness of turbine operations, reliability drivers, and service execution challenges to make informed decisions. Project management skills appreciated as well as past important leadership management skills – as well as construction know how and planning. 
  • Safety leadership: Demonstrates visible commitment to safety and human factors, promoting a ‘zero harm’ culture. 
  • Accountability mindset: Takes ownership for outcomes, ensuring problems are resolved and performance is delivered. 
  • Continuous improvement: Drives operational excellence through data-driven decisions and continuous optimization. 
  • Boardroom capabilities are very relevant as well as strong leadership and delegation skills. Solidity of forecasts and planning is a key requirement for the role. 
  • Action driven mindset – important to proactively take actions
