A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our Business Unit Transmission and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative products, solutions, and services that keep energy flowing efficiently. As part of our Substations Group – backed by more than 20 years of leadership in the U.S. market – you’ll take on complex system projects that bring entire substations to life. You’ll work on expansion, replacement, and upgrading initiatives, providing complete electrification from planning through execution. Every day, you’ll contribute to projects that power communities, strengthen grid reliability, and advance the energy transition. Additionally, you’ll work alongside a diverse, multicultural Substations team – connecting with colleagues across Germany, Canada, and beyond – to sharpen your technical expertise, accelerate your professional growth, and strengthen your coaching and leadership skills in a supportive, team-driven culture.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders on multiple substation projects, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
  • Manage several projects at once, driving schedule adherence, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and delivering solid financial results.
  • Lead key project management activities such as scheduling, budgeting, risk control, change management, opportunity assessment, and forecasting.
  • Oversee every stage of project execution – from handover to final construction completion – while ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Take full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for your assigned projects, tracking performance against targets.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, actively reducing or eliminating non-conformance costs (NCCs) while collaborating closely with local and global teams and expanding your expertise in AIS, GIS, and Substation products.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management with 5+ years’ experience in substations or project management.
  • Solid substation expertise – covering AIS, transformers, breakers, MV/HV gas-insulated switchgear, and balance-of-plant (BOP) equipment – paired with a strong work ethic, a continuous learning mindset, and preferably Project Management certifications such as PMP or IPMA.
  • An excellent communicator with proven leadership, team building, customer-facing expertise, and strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, quality management, and collaborating effectively with global teams.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
