A Snapshot of Your Day
As Sourcing Manager steam generator / boiler / dSCR systems in international proposal and execution teams and with international suppliers you will keep on track and lead all aspects of the delivery of projects including budget, quality, safety, performance and schedule requirements.
You are an integral part of the company’s supply chain management community and stay in contact with Engineering, Site Erection, Project Management, Sales/ Proposals, Logistics, Purchasing Councils, Regional Units, international procurement organizations and sourcing hubs as well as with Suppliers, associations, public institutions, consultants, legal advisors, benchmarking partners.
In this role, you collaborate with the Project Manager HRSG/dSCR and establish project controls that are in line with PM@SE & Business Management Systems. You’ll also advise, lead and empower your supplier to deliver successfully, helping to drive our energy transformation efforts.
Evaluation and commenting of commercial customer specification and support cost calculations for respective scope are your daily business. You will compile the request for quotation documents for the contractor together with PM HRSG/dSCR, support the evaluation and comparison of incoming offers, negotiate with contractors until contract readiness with your team!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Impact the success of the projects with your engagement for cost, quality and time schedule for proposal or execution projects, mainly supplier and contract management activities.
- Evaluate the commercial part of the customer contract (specifications and requirements), prepare commercial specifications and inquiry documents
- Contract management and negotiation
- Develop, maintain appropriate global commodity, component strategies and ensure their implementation.
- Responsible for fulfillment of contractors time schedules, quality and costs, review of contractor’s commercial documentation and invoices.
What You Bring
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Engineering or related
- 5+ years in power plant execution and contractor management
- Support the organization with your commercial specialist knowledge in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems with experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement/Fabrication, Erection/Commissioning) market or with Boiler/HRSG contractors
- Experience with document, data management tools and data bases
- Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense and capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high-quality work process and willingness for business travels with international contacts (Minimum 20% travel is required)
- Excellent English skills compared with intercultural sensitivity, to work in (virtual) international teams/international suppliers
