Service Specialist for Marine Applications

A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of our Marine Service Team, you’ll support customers worldwide with commissioning and servicing electrical systems onboard ships and boats for maritime installations. You’ll work hands-on with modern technologies, both onsite and remotely, ensuring systems run safely, efficiently, and on time. No two days are the same, you will be out in the field, solving problems and collaborating with a skilled international team. Our flexible work approaches allow us to assist customers onsite, over the phone, and via remote support.

 How You’ll Make an Impact

• Commission and test electrical systems such as switchboards, transformers, generators, motor controls, and power distribution units
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues onboard and remotely
• Plan and carry out maintenance activities, including procedures and schedules
• Collaborate closely with project managers, technicians, service providers, and other stakeholders
• Document your work and share insights through clear service and commissioning reports
• Ensure quality and compliance with technical standers and project/industry requirements
• Offer technical support on commissioning processes and requirements to project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Contribute to training and knowledge sharing
• Keep up to date with new technologies and continuously improve the way we work

What You Bring

• University degree in electrical engineering
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and energy technology.
• Familiarity with legal regulations regarding occupational safety, quality management systems, standards, and rules (VDE, CE).
• Possession of a valid Class B (old Class III) driver's license.
• Ability to independently and efficiently analyze and solve problems.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Willingness to travel frequently, both national and international.
• Physical and mental ability to work in changing and challenging weather conditions at sea and in pressurized areas with limited space.
• Strong initiative and motivation to learn new technologies, fundamental electrical and/or mechanical skills, and to apply learning towards personal success.
