A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Contract Manager, you will be an integral part of the bid team, working closely on tenders for both public and private customers. You will focus on reviewing contractual documents, assessing risks, and supporting negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and partners. You will be involved from the tender phase and continue supporting during project execution, ensuring contracts are understood, risks are handled, and agreements are properly managed. The role includes close collaboration with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners across different stages of the project.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of contract management across both bid and execution phases, leading contract review, risk assessment, and negotiations through to contract conclusion
- Partner closely with sales and bid teams to support tender strategies, identify risks early, and define mitigation approaches
- Act as a key advisor to project teams on contractual matters, including variations, claims, disputes, and contract execution
- Coordinate contractual alignment across stakeholders (sales, legal, finance, technical teams) and ensure a consistent approach throughout the contract lifecycle
- Oversee contractual performance during execution, including key milestones, claim and variation management, and subcontractor engagements
- Drive continuous improvement of contract management practices by developing processes, templates, and preparing decision-making material for stakeholders and Steering Committees
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Law, (HA-Jur/Cand.merc Jur, LLB, Cand.Jur. or similar); alternatively a technical background with strong legal/contractual understanding
- Experience with contract management in tender procedures based on the EU Utilities Directive (review of contracts, assessing and mitigating risk, negotiation, deciding and drafting collaboration models etc.) and in the execution phase (supervising and supporting with risk handling, variation- and claim management, contract amendments, negotiations on different levels etc.)
- Knowledge of construction and supply contracts; experience within offshore wind is an advantage
- Preferably experience working with FIDIC-based contracts
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Professional proficiency in English with excellent communication skills. Danish is an advantage.
About the Team
You will be part of a contract management team consisting of four Contract Managers, where the other team members are more closely connected to the execution organization.This position is fully dedicated to the sales team, working closely with sales and management during tender processes. The team collaborates across functions and plays a central role in supporting both internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the contract lifecycle.
